MY 2010

                   The world has seen tremendous achievements and failures in 2010. The political parties in India try to term it as The Year of Corruption. Even if the world has progressed to any extent, it makes no sense to me unless I grow and the theory is the same for all.

                    As for me, the year 2010 has been the year with both achievements and failures. Learned a lot; both for intellect and life. I would like to be more realistic and therefore do not want to justify the failures.

                  I don’t overwhelm over the successes nor do I snivel over the failures. Now, just fifteen minutes for the New Year, I am sitting in front of the lap top, ruminating over the bygone months, days and hours given to me just as to all others in the world.

                                      And in 2011

THE BIG B WITH BIG IDEAS

Barak Obama, the President of United States, was the main headline for all the news channels and newspapers on those days he was in India.  His immense and great ideas and visions on America and the world made the people to expect some wonders from him and these over-expectations made many depressed except the realists and optimists.

Different people with different opinions, as some appreciate his efforts and caliber while others rate him average. If we look at his speeches as the presidential candidate we can find him with lots of planning and visions but after becoming the President he could not materialize or enforce many of them.

My intention is neither to assess the capability and efficiency of Mr. Barak Obama nor to justify his words and actions, rather to lead your attention to another significant reality. As the Home Minister of India, Mr. P. Chidambaram, has rightly said in an interview in NDTV,  “it is very easy to speak a lot of things as a Presidential Candidate, but when he is in the position of the President then he will come to know the limitations that the position has.”

But if anyone had observed the presidential campaign in U.S. then you could find that Obama was the only person with so much of clear-cut vision and dream about the nation. So if he has not done any miracle as expected by many that is because he is the President of U.S. and not a normal citizen which means he has to look at the common interest and not vested interests.

Also, if a person with so much of vision and dreams could do only so much then what would have been the plight of the U.S. if they had elected anyone else with no vision and dream? All what I would like to mention here is to take only good things from each and every one and be men of big dreams and visions, for, ‘you need to aim at stars as to reach at the top of a tree.

YES WE WILL

The last presidential election of the United States of America has witnessed the emergence, popularity, admiration and rapture of the notion “YES WE CAN” , the focal catchphrase by Barak Obama which sparked the rays of hope in the minds of Americans; both the Blacks and the Whites alike. Thus, Obama won the election as he was more promising to the future of the nation as compared to the opponent. The words that spring conviction, vision, dream, faith and confidence play a very substantial role in the life, growth and progress of each and every individual, society, nation and the world as a whole.

I would like to bring a small modification to the famous words of Barak Obama to a more resourceful and evocative one i.e. “YES WE WILL”. Because, it is possible for every man to do the impossible who dares to. I can do many things but it is not just ample that I have the ability, rather I need to. Therefore let the heart of each and every one throb for doing things rather than just dreaming as this is the time of praxis, the time of action. Let each and every lip say “YES WE WILL”, because ‘WILL’ indicates decision, confidence and certainty while CAN designates ability and possibility. The concept of CAN shall be converted to WILL. Dogged determination coupled with will power and hard work will produce amazing, mesmerizing and unbelievable changes and transformation in each individual which in turn changes the whole society.

Prove your mettle and never shall your confidence be thwarted. Let every mind and lips utter “YES WE WILL” and you will find a substantial change in your outlook, approach and growth.
